On the 10th April 1969, the Government of India constituted the Krishna
Water Disputes Tribunal for adjudicating the water disputes regarding the inter-State river Krishna and the river valley thereof. The Tribunal has investigated the matters referred to it, and has prepared its reports and further report giving its decisions.
           
            This report is popularly known as “ Bachawat Award .  All the three
Volumes of the Report and Further Report is reduced in to an electronic form and available on www.irrigation.ap.gov.in

            As per Clause-XIV (A) of the above said Award
“ At any time after the 31st May, 2000, the Bachawat Award may be reviewed or revised by a competent authority or Tribunal, but such review or revision shall not as far as possible disturb any utilisation that may have been undertaken by any State within the limits of the allocation made to it.”

            The Government of India constituted another Tribunal on 2-4-2004 for adjudicating the water disputes regarding the inter-State river Krishna and the river valley thereof. The proceedings of this Tribunal are actively going on at New Delhi at present.

The particulars of facilities available to citizens for obtaining information, including the working hours of a library or reading room, if maintained for public use.

           
The interested citizen can refer to certain publications, text books in the
library only and subject to prior intimation in writing and after permission and appointment from the Chief Engineer. The citizens are not allowed to borrow any Booklet/Magazine outside the library.
